Predicto Standard is the default and simplest mode available in Predicto. If you're just starting out with predictions, you're probably playing in a room like this.
Picks before the tournament starts
Regardless of the scoring mode, before the tournament kicks off you also make two additional picks: the tournament winner and the top scorer. These picks stand until the end of the competition and are scored separately from individual match points.
How does it work?
For every match you choose one betting variant:
Winner (1/X/2)
You only predict who wins: the home team, the away team, or a draw. A correct pick is worth 5 pts.
Exact score
You enter a specific result, e.g. 2:1. A correct exact score is worth 12 pts.
The choice is yours for every match individually. You can back just the winner in one match, and go for the exact score in the next.
What to watch out for
This is the most important rule of this mode: your choices don't combine. If you go for the exact score (12 pts) and only get the winner right (e.g. you predicted 2:1, but it ended 3:1), you get no points — 0 pts. There's no "partial" credit here — either you nail the score exactly, or you get nothing.
That's what makes the exact score (12 pts) a riskier but higher-scoring option. The winner pick (5 pts) is a safer, lower ceiling.
Who is this mode for?
Predicto Standard works great for rooms running a whole season or a long tournament, where you want to keep the rules simple across many matches. If you're playing with a crew that's still new to the platform, it's the safest starting point.
