The Joker is a special bonus in Predicto that lets you double the points you earn on one chosen match each round. It's a great way to get extra value out of a prediction you're confident about and climb the room leaderboard faster.
What is the Joker?
The Joker is a x2 points multiplier you can assign to a single match within a round. If your prediction for that match is correct, you earn twice the usual points. The bonus is available once per round — it doesn't carry over to the next one.
How do I enable the Joker in a room?
Whether the Joker is available is decided by the room's creator when setting up the room — in the settings step, they can turn this bonus on or off for all participants. If it's enabled, you'll see it explained in your room's "Info" tab.
How do I use the Joker when predicting?
When predicting a match, you'll see a "Use Joker" option next to the regular prediction form. Check it to assign the bonus to that match — if your prediction is correct, your points for that match will be doubled.
Rules and limits
- The Joker is available once per round — an unused one doesn't roll over to the next round.
- You can only assign it to one match per round.
- You can change your mind and move the Joker to a different, not-yet-started match in the same round.
- Once a match kicks off, your choice is locked in.
- The Joker isn't available in Quick Match rooms, since those only involve a single match.
When should I use the Joker?
Save it for the match you feel most confident about — a clear favourite in good form, or a match where you're predicting the exact score and have strong reasons to believe it. It's also worth waiting until just before kickoff to decide, so you can factor in the latest news, like starting lineups.
