The 88th club in Ekstraklasa history
On 31 May 2026, Wieczysta Krakow beat Chrobry Glogow in the promotion play-off final to earn their place in the Ekstraklasa. No club in Polish football history had climbed through the divisions as quickly — founded just a few years ago by Tomasz Jedrzejewski, Wieczysta reached the top flight at a remarkable pace.
On 24 July 2026, at the Bracia Czachor Stadium in Radom, Wieczysta played their first ever Ekstraklasa match. Roberto Alves opened the scoring for Radomiak in the 43rd minute and Jan Grzesik made it 2:0 shortly after.
Feiertag enters the history books
Despite trailing by two goals, Wieczysta refused to give up. Stefan Feiertag found the net and etched his name into history as the scorer of Wieczysta Krakow's first ever Ekstraklasa goal. The 1:2 defeat hurts, but the debutants showed real character. Mikkel Maigaard was one of the standout performers — he completed 72 accurate passes and played 47 passes in the opposition half, both the highest figures of any player in the entire round.
The Krakow derbies between Wisla, Cracovia and Wieczysta this season are shaping up to be one of the most anticipated storylines in the Ekstraklasa.
