Amorim at Milan — a new chapter for the Rossoneri
Massimiliano Allegri left AC Milan at the end of the 2025/26 season amid mutual disappointment — Milan finished sixth, outside the Champions League places. The club decided to bring in a young, progressive manager and turned to Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese coach, who revolutionised Sporting before testing himself in the Premier League with Manchester United (before a parting of ways after a few months), now arrives in Milan.
Amorim's 3-4-3 system is tactically demanding but beautiful to watch. Milan have the squad to execute that vision — Leao on the wing, Morata up front, Reijnders and Fofana in midfield. After four rounds Milan have eight points — a decent but not spectacular start. The fans are patiently waiting for the system to fully click.
Allegri returns — this time to Napoli
Massimiliano Allegri returned to Serie A immediately — he took charge of Napoli after Antonio Conte, who left the club at the end of 2025/26. The chain of events is remarkable. Allegri at Napoli is an intriguing combination — an old-school tactician arriving at a club that grew accustomed to intense, modern pressing football under Conte. Napoli currently have six points and are still searching for their identity. Time will tell whether Allegri can build another title-winning project outside of Juventus.
Chivu at Inter — continuity or revolution?
Cristian Chivu replaced Simone Inzaghi on the Inter bench and so far the wins have kept coming — 12 points from four matches. As a club legend, Chivu has the full backing of the supporters, and his style is similar to his predecessor's. The chemistry with the players appears strong. So far, it is the ideal start for the new head coach.
