A hard-fought trip to the coast

Legia Warsaw began the 2026/27 season with a tricky away fixture in Szczecin. Pogon were the hosts hoping for a strong start in front of their own supporters. For long periods the match was tight and chances were hard to come by, with both defences on top.

Legia goalkeeper Otto Hindrich was faultless throughout. After the first matchday he already holds the record for the longest clean-sheet run among all Ekstraklasa goalkeepers — 201 consecutive minutes without conceding.

Arsenic writes the perfect debut story

The decisive moment came deep in injury time. Zoran Arsenic, making his Legia debut, found the net to hand the capital club all three points. A goal on debut in the season opener — there is no better way to introduce yourself to new fans. Legia head home from Szczecin with maximum points and plenty of optimism heading into the rest of the campaign.
