A goalless first half — Haikin the hero for Glimt
The first half at the Allianz Arena brought a surprise — Bayern dominated (66% possession, 26 shots across the match), but Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Haikin was in exceptional form. The Norwegian side set up in a deep defensive block, crowding out every Bayern move. Kane fired in several dangerous efforts, Musiala tried to break through individually, but the scoreline remained goalless at the break.
Second half — Bayern explode
Glimt made a change at half-time but it made no difference. In the 47th minute — just two minutes after the restart — Kane struck after a Kimmich delivery from the right. The dam had burst. In the 61st minute Luis Diaz made it 2:0 with a run down the left. Bayern remained focused — in the 77th minute Musiala added the third with his trademark finish from close range.
In the 83rd minute Olise completed a counter-attack involving Davies to make it 4:0. In the 87th minute Glimt were reduced to ten men — one of the Norwegian defenders received a red card for a foul on Kane. In stoppage time Kane tucked away the fifth. Bodo/Glimt finished without a single shot on target — 0 from 3 attempts. Bayern had 11 shots on target. The gulf in class was absolute.
